About the website 912STUFF
The information on this website is specially for Porsche 912 (and 912E)-owners and those who are interested in the Porsche 912 (and 912E).
After many years collecting 912 data this website is set up by an 912 enthusiast and is – not wanting to copy other existing websites – an attempt to show you information which you can see as an addition to the information you can find on other 912-websites.
The graphs on this website are as far as possible based on verified information (Kardex, Porsche Classic Technical Certificate (PCTC), Certificate of Authenticity (CoA), Porsche Production Specification (PPS), Certificate, Bill of Sale, …..).
If some required information is not available or unclear, I didn’t use it (or used : “unknown’’). This is also the reason that you see a difference in – for example – the number of 912’s in the graphs COLOR ORIGINAL and COLOR NOW.
(For the 912-insider : I am aware of mistakes you can find on several CoA’s)
It is impossible to use ‘’Year Constructed’’, because it is impossible to make a correct ”Year Constructed Table”. That’s why you can only find ‘’Model Year”-graphs.
Not sure what the modelyear of your Porsche 912 is ? Check it here :
For now (2023) I started with 3000 entries.
Much more 912 information is waiting to be added. Many updates have to be done, because 912’s get new owners, move to other countries/States, cars get a respray meanwhile in original color or another color or get an engine-swap …. and so on.
I admit: I do like original cars. That’s why I use forinstance red and green in the graphs. Truth is that an original and matching Porsche 912 in good condition has more value.
These 912’s are only once original and become more and more very rare!
The market provides the evidence and there is a wide gap between the best and the rest. People with big $$$ wallets buy these very sought after 912’s for investment. Have a good look at the graphs (compare them and combine them) and you can see that these 912’s become very rare !
But, if your car is not original anymore, has another engine, is resprayed in whatever what color and so on ….. who cares? As long as you have fun with your 912 it sure it’s okay!
