KARDEX            Porsche warranty card

Kardex

The name KARDEX came from the storage-system where Porsche keeps the warranty cards in. The storage-system was supplied by KARDEX AG, an international company with their headquarter in Zürich Switserland.

The KARDEX is actually the Porsche factory warranty card (to keep track of warranty claims) that has all the build specifications on it. It was not a build sheet, but ended up being the only useful document relating to the individual Porsche. The Porsche-factory still has all the kardex, but you’r not able to obtain the real kardex from your Porsche.

What you still can get is a paper data card (you were never able to get the original card, all you got was a copy or a pfd-file which you were able to print) on which is recorded information about an individual Porsche.

Previously the Kardex was easy to obtain at the local Porsche-dealer but due to privacy reasons that is not possible anymore.

Nevertheless, if you do a good search on the internet you must be able to find at least six Kardex-‘’providers’’. They charge you for about EUR 100 up to US $ 500 !!! for a kardex (the kardex-pdf-file is the same, your choice which ‘provider’ you prefer depends on how big your wallet is. It is up to you).

For 912E-owners: …. there is no Kardex available. One Kardex-‘provider’ offers a kind of certificate for 912E’s.
